Heather Brittain

Heather Brittain is an award-winning actress, producer, filmmaker, and founder of Film Festival Insider™, where she helps independent filmmakers navigate the festival circuit through strategic education, consulting, and AI-powered tools.

As the founder of Via Mantra Productions, Heather has developed and produced independent films spanning comedy, thriller, and drama. She wrote, produced, and starred in the award-winning short comedy House Broken, which premiered at the Garden State Film Festival before going on to screen at festivals around the world and earn multiple awards. She also starred in and produced the acclaimed 1970s thriller Victim No. 6, which completed a successful international festival run with numerous awards and nominations.

Beyond her work in front of and behind the camera, Heather serves as Vice Chair of the Garden State Film Festival, one of the nation’s premier showcases for independent film. Drawing on her experience as both a filmmaker and festival programmer, she founded Film Festival Insider™ to help filmmakers better understand the festival landscape and build smarter submission strategies.
